Everything is Boffo!

Hello there! Welcome to our blog, We're Filipinos who just became Spanish citizens and are enjoying the privilege of a powerful passport and being able to travel visa-free to 187 countries. In this blog we chronicle our travels, where we stayed, what we ate, how did we get there, etc.

Now, if you want to live in Spain instead, you'll also find resources on the Digital Nomad Visa, the Non-Lucrative Visa, and the Highly-Qualified Professional Visa, plus how to apply for Spanish Citizenship.

There's plenty of visas to live in Spain, and we'll be talking about the most common residency visas that have pathways to permanent residency and citizenship.

While this is also known as a retirement visa, anyone over 18 that meets the passive income requirements can apply.

Spain's residency visa for remote workers with foreign clients to live in Spain and in some cases have access to the public healthcare system.

Spain has an excellent Universal healthcare system, but under most visas, you will need to get private healthcare for you and your family.

Coming from someone who has had to navigate the US immigration system, I can tell you that the Spanish process is more straightforward. But there's still some nuances to acquiring -- and losing -- Spanish Citizenship.

Living in Europe has opened our eyes to how accessible and cost-effective traveling between countries can be. Flights to London or Paris for as little as 40 euros round trip! With prices like that, we’ve discovered that our favorite way to travel isn’t about racing through every major landmark. Instead, we love slow travel: wandering through neighborhoods, getting a feel for everyday life, and letting the city unfold around us. If we missed something, then it's an excuse to go back.

While we do ask our friends and followers for suggestions on what to do in a new city, we're not very easily swayed by viral "must-try" eateries. We think part of the fun is stumbling upon a cozy café or a tiny family-run spot on our own. It makes the experience feel more personal, more spontaneous , and in the end we feel like geniuses for "discovering" them, ha!
