Meet the hosts

Frances Barsana

A graduate of University of the Philippines majoring in Journalism, Frances is a seasoned business leader with expertise in B2B and B2C sales and marketing.

She successfully crossed over to the technology startup industry by joining Ayala Corporation/Globe Telecom’s corporate venture capital, Kickstart Ventures Inc., the Philippines’ largest technology venture fund working with startups from the US, Singapore, Canada, and the Philippines.

Apart from her corporate career, Frances is an entrepreneur having businesses in real estate, hospitality, services, and most recently in F&B with Cuento Café y Pastelería in Madrid.

In her free time, she loves to travel having visited 4 continents, 35 countries, and 100 destinations in the world.

Abi Manubay

Abi holds a BS in Psychology from the University of St. Paul, Quezon City, Philippines. She has handled different leadership roles in IT and the BPO space for 20 years. Her previous role before leaving Manila was as Country Manager for HCL Technologies Philippines, the 2nd largest IT BPM company in India. 

Abi has been providing values with people management and mentoring future leaders with her corporate skills. She has helped companies improve over-all performance in terms of profitability and human capital excellence.

Outside work, Abi loves exploring the world to experience new culture and cuisine.

Born and raised in the Philippines, living in Madrid, Spain since 2023. Abi is currently a café and pastry business owner.
